Govt Confirms New Winter Rules for Private Schools — No More Compulsory Jackets

Govt Confirms New Winter Rules for Private Schools

The government has officially confirmed new winter rules for all private schools, ending the long-standing practice of forcing students to buy and wear specific winter jackets. The new policy clearly states that no private school can compel students to follow a compulsory winter jacket uniform.

This decision was taken after repeated complaints from parents who said schools were pressuring them to purchase expensive jackets from selected shops. Many families reported that these jackets were overpriced and not even warm enough for severe cold.

Under the updated rule, the government has directed all private schools to allow students to wear any warm clothing they already have at home, including jackets, sweaters, hoodies, mufflers, and caps. Schools cannot enforce any color, design, or brand requirement for winter clothing.

Officials explained that the purpose of the new rule is to protect families from unnecessary expenses during the winter season. Parents will now have full freedom to choose winter clothing based on comfort, weather conditions, and their own budget.

The government also warned that strict action will be taken against any school found violating the rule. Schools have been instructed not to stop students at the gate, not to issue warnings, and not to pressure parents to buy winter uniforms from specific shops.

Govt New Winter Rules for Private Schools:

Parents have welcomed the decision, saying it will save them from high winter uniform costs and reduce pressure on families with multiple children. Many parents also appreciate that the focus has finally shifted to children’s comfort instead of uniform business interests.

The government has urged all private schools to update their winter policies immediately and ensure teachers, gate staff, and administration follow the instructions. The priority must be students’ health, warmth, and ease—not jacket colors.
