HEC Reschedules LAT 2025

The Higher Education Commission (HEC) has officially postponed and rescheduled the Law Admission Test (LAT) for all candidates belonging to Balochistan. The test, originally planned for 9 November 2025, could not be held due to the worsening law-and-order situation across various districts of the province. In its latest announcement, the commission confirmed that the LAT will now take place on 30 November 2025 in Quetta, giving students additional time to prepare and reorganize their travel plans.

The LAT is one of the most important entrance exams for students aspiring to pursue the five-year LLB program. Thousands of students from all across the province were registered for the exam, and the last-minute postponement raised concerns among candidates regarding future admission timelines. However, HEC has reassured students that the new schedule has been finalized to ensure a safe, smooth, and organized testing environment.

Why the Postponement Was Necessary

According to officials inside the Higher Education Commission, the primary reason behind the delay was the security situation in several parts of Balochistan. As the original test date approached, multiple alerts were issued, forcing authorities to reconsider the feasibility of conducting the exam. Since LAT centers are usually located in areas with high student activity, the commission prioritised safety and opted for a rescheduled date instead of risking any disruption on exam day.
