Pakistan is preparing to open 47 new co-working hubs for freelancers and startups under the National Co-Working Spaces Project NCSP. Government officials confirmed that the long-term goal is to build 250 co-working centers by February 2027 across Pakistan. PSEB has invited private and public operators to run these co-working hubs under a public-private partnership model. Eligible partners can apply for interest-free loans up to Rs. 10 million through partner banks. Applications must be submitted online via the EPADS portal before November 3, 2025. This financing support ensures rapid development of digital hubs across major cities and secondary regions.
🔁 e-Rozgar Rebranded to NCSP
To avoid confusion with Punjab’s training program, the federal government has rebranded e-Rozgar to NCSP. Unlike province-specific initiatives, NCSP will operate nationwide and focus on shared workspaces, skill mentoring, and freelancer support. Trainers will be funded jointly by government and private partners to ensure high-quality digital learning and guidance for new entrepreneurs.
🏙️ Different Models for Big & Small Cities
Large cities like Karachi, Lahore, Rawalpindi, and Islamabad will get premium facilities with at least 100 seats and 3,500 sq ft space to meet demand from experienced digital workers. Smaller towns will get mentorship-focused hubs to build skills, encourage entrepreneurship, and promote a digital mindset among youth. This tier-based approach ensures equal opportunity, skill development, and tech exposure across Pakistan.
